Lonna,
This of course will make the site inaccessible to people with certain
disabilities.
Before you get too heavily into leaving out alt tags for whatever reason,
you might want to take a look at news item on the front page of
www.icdri.org. It has to do with a department of justice action in Texas.
Just a suggestion.
Sincerely,
Mike Burks

Subject: alt tag in sliced graphics?
Hi everyone,
I recently used Fireworks 2 to slice a large title banner for a client.
Since the "alt" tag is a very important way to advertise the site for search
engines, I always use a descriptive alt tag for the first graphic on the
page. Unfortunately, the sliced images don't display an alt tag, and when I
tried to put an alt tag in each of the sliced graphics, it didn't show up on
mouseover.
Is there a way to do a descriptive alt tag that will show up on sliced
images?
Thanks in advance,
Lonna
