Hi All:
I use Paint Shop Pro 5 to create/save .GIF banners, etc, with
transparent backgrounds. The steps for doing this are simple.
1. Select the eyedropper tool, and touch it to the background color
of your image...or the color you want to make transparent
2. Note the "I value" in the color dialogue box. (to the right, below
the color Palette...)
3. Go to "Colors"|"Set Palette Transparency".
4. Select the lowermost selection in the dialog box and enter the
value to the right.
5. Press "ok" and save the image as a .GIF
Shazam!
Once you've done it, it's as easy as sin, and very effective. It's one
of the reasons I like PSP so darned much!!
Cheers,
Bill Perkins
