OT: PC > MAC archives

Anyone know an archive type that's
compatible for both the PC and MAC.

I simply want to archive stuff to send to a MAC user.
IE. *.ZIP

I believe MAC uses a program called stuffit????

Does this program read .zip files or .tar files???

Any suggestions..........
