Hi there,

I am new to this list, so please be bear with me if this has come up
recently ...

I've searched the archives and gone through my user's guide. Unfortunately,
I can't find anything to answer my question - unless I am missing something
obvious.

My problem is that our web site requires more effective site navigation
graphics. At the moment, all I have is plain text on a transparent
background. What I want is a 3D button effect.

I have found out how to add a border to a simple image - but that creates a
solid colour which gradually becomes lighter as it 'flows' towards the
graphic's center. A 'true' 3D would highlight two adjacent 'edges' while
'darkening' the opposite two.

I have tried using the spotlight tool without success - that affects too
broad an area.

I can't afford an upgrade and have been unable to replicate even the sold
background using CorelDraw 9.

Can anyone help? Tutorials are OK, but suggested tools are better.

Thanks in advance!
