GIF - UNISYS issue

Just wondering how you feel about the gif - unisys patent issue and if you
plan on doing anything about it (go to http://burnallgifs.org for background
info)? I personally have made the decision to keep using gifs until png
becomes more widely supported in browsers. As far as I can tell, if you
created your gifs with a program that has the proper licence (like
Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.), you are fine. Is this what other's understand
as well?
