I am trying to help a client play mpg videos on his page. They play
perfectly fine on my computer with the Windows media player, but after I
uploaded them to his server and tried to play them they went to pieces. I
have no idea if it's because I have a slow internet connection or if there
is some trick to uploading mpg to the client's internet provider.
I just viewed a video off a Microsoft news site and it gave the choice of
connection speeds to select. I tried to decipher their code for clues, but
it's a large mess of javascript and I can't see what they did.
Is there a better media player that I can download and recommend to others
to download to see the videos? Is there a different format he should save
the files in? Is there something I can do in my HTML coding to make the
videos play well for all users?
Any help would be appreciated....thanks in advance.
