Albert,
Personally I would make animated gifs. easy to make, yo can select how many
times they cycle, and you dont have to mess with java that may or may not
work on every browser. you can use a table to put them where you want em.
:-)

Subject: twinkling stars
Hi folks:
I would like to create an opening page for a website with a night
cityscape, with either several (maybe 7 or 8) "stars" in the night sky
shining (not all at once, but alternately) at random, or with lights
shining from darkened highrises. This shining motion doesn't have to go
on forever, maybe for just 20 seconds or so, and then stop. Can this be
accomplished with Javascript? how about without Javascript? Any
enlightenment on this subject would be appreciated.
