Just off the top of my head (and a pointy one it is), I'd say that
converting the vector drawings from Corel (if they were created as vector
drawings and left as "curves") to a "WMF" format and then scaled down to
size, then converted to a bitmap for the purpose of the thumbnail; should
suffice.
If that works, great.. Let me/us know as it's just a theory based on what I
understand of these graphic packages and the way these file formats behave.

If I could presume upon your time, I could use some technical advice.
I have quite a few medieval coats-of-arms, line art images drawn in Corel
Draw format (vector-based images). These images are quite large, roughly
1200x1200 pixels each. I'm trying to see if I can shrink them down to very,
very tiny thumbnails, say 30-40 pixels on a side each, exporting them to GIF
files, while maintaining the maximum amount of clarity I can. I'm using
Corel Draw's Transformation function to shrink them down. While I know I'm
sacrificing a lot of detail, is there some way I can clean up the resulting
thumbnail? I have access to Corel Photopaint 7.0, Photoshop (I think it's
Version 4), and Paint Shop Pro 5.
If this isn't enough info, please let me know what you need.
Thanks in advance,
Guy
