Watched similar threads in the past about protecting our images and HTML.
This is a good idea but not quite ready for prime time.

Unfortunately Clever Content requires people to download and install a
plug-in.
Surveys in the past have shown people don't want to download a plug-in to
view
a site.  We expend a lot of energy directing people to our site, we don't
want to
scare them off with a plug-in.

OTH we have had our images and web content plundered twice this year.  One
was completely copied by a college student trying to make a buck on the
side.
The other site was done by store employees who partially copied our site.
In
neither case did the owner know that the images were "borrowed" or that it
was
illegal (or so they said).  Luckily we have a copyrighted site with
verifiable
originality. A quick letter got the offending content removed fast from both
sites.

Something needs to be done I agree.  The WWWC needs to get something
built into the standards (and browsers) that support a similar and less
costly
way of protecting our work. For now,  we expend a lot of effort watching
the new companies coming online.
