I've been using CorelDRAW since version 4.
When PhotoShop 4 came out, I fell in love with it.
I keptCorelDRAW for vectors, but I PS was my
main program. When CorelDRAW 7 came out,
I became a believer. It was such a quantum
leap. CorelDRAW 8 jumped ahead of itself
just as much as 7 did ahead of PS4. PS5 doesn't
even compare to 7, and 8 just rips 'em all.

I've used a ton of programs. I see a feature in one
program and think, "Ah, you can't do that in CorelDRAW",
but after a little research, it turns out that CorelDRAW
does do it, and it does it easier and better.

When I say CorelDRAW, I mean the package.
I work primarily out of PhotoPaint now, as I have
found that it does everything better than any other
program can. The built-in filters are usually better
and have far more options than any plug-in.

How about OCR-Trace? Ever tried converting
a raster to a vector using OCR-Trace? It's AMAZING!
I recently designed some playing cards for a casino
video game. The 3D guy claimed to need a vector image
of each to have perfect maps in his 3D animation.

I worked on the things in PhotoPaint, and created vectors
from them. He sized the vectors and converted them back
to rasters. He was shocked to see that there was no
pixelation even after zooming in at 2000%.

Every time someone says, "You can't do this in PhotoPaint",
they turn out to be wrong. Unless, ofcourse, they say, "You
can't build a bicycle in PhotoPaint", because that's true.
You can't build a bicycle in PhotoPaint... not in the traditional
sense, anyway.

I also use a Corel keychain that reads "Go further".
