Best program for 3D Animation

To all,

I have checked the archives and tried a few things without much
success.

Here's what I want to do:

A company wanted part of a logo to spin.  The whole logo
comprises of a outer circle with words and an inner
round graphic.  I need to convert the inner graphic into
a 3D model and make it spin.   I have tried Cool 3D and
Asymetrix Web 3D without success.

Can someone recommend a good 3D program that
supports various file extensions.
