PSP5 batch conversion

I've got 20 .psp files (which is one image chopped up) and want to export
them all to .gifs in one foul swoop using PSP5.

No probs.  That's what the Batch Conversion is for.

But what if you want the colour depth reduced to X colours first?  There
is no "reduce to ___ cols" in the batch conversion process.

If there a better way of doing this?  Is the answer to drop the colour
depth of the original first, and then use something like Image Dicer?
(never touched yet, but just doing the d/l)
