image table

Hello,

OK, I just inherited a site: http://www.leonardsweet.com

The main page is what I call an image table (have no idea what everyone else
calls it... I'm new!)... an image that was sliced up.  The challenge:

I need to get rid of that blue background and replace it with background
graphic I made... so I need to get all those images transparent...

AND I need to get the bottom part of the table to "open" up... that is, I
need to place the cover graphic directly underneath the "postmodern
reformation" graphic.

Sorry if I'm being stupid... I've never worked with this before.
