I'm with you!  :))  The only way I started to learn the basics two years ago
was by printing and reading the tutorials on Geocities and jumping in using
their advanced editor.  I had the courage to put up my first homepage
because of Geocities, and I've used their wonderful free services for a lot
since then.

PS:  I lot of people on this list have been very, very helpful in answering
my sometimes bumbling questions.  I want to use this opportunity to thank
every one of you.  This is a very valuable medium, and I don't know what I'd
do without you!
