Hi Everyone:
Three months ago I used a 30-day trial version of a program that I ended up
not liking and uninstalled it after it timed out.
Yesterday. I received an email from the manufacturer telling me they have a
"new and improved" version of this same program which addresses the reasons
I rejected the initial trial version, and they asked me to try it for 30
days free.
PROBLEM:
The newer version gave me a message it "detected" the presence of the former
trial version and now won't load until I remove or "register" the former
version, and it won't overwrite the old files.
I sent an email to the manufacturer this morning, but haven't heard from
them yet.
Anyone know how to detect and remove these old files, or, a backdoor method
of getting past this problem?
Is there a reliable and effective method of removing ALL traces of
uninstalled and trial versions of software formerly used and yet to be used?
