While others have mentioned WHERE it came from, they didn't tell you what
you wanted to know. Of course, you might not like the answer.

MSIE 5.x (including Outlook Express 5) can view ART files if you have a
plugin installed (available on Windows Update). But you'll have to
screen-capture and crop to save as something else, because even through both
will allow you to change the extension to say, JPG, the file is still in ART
format. To my knowledge, Netscape's browsers (including 6) cannot view this
format, but I only tried once, so that may have changed recently.

To load and resave the pic in a different format (which, I believe, is BMP
only), you have to use AOL 5 or AOL 6. I'm not sure if you have to be logged
in to AOL to do that or not.

Contact me offlist if you'd like my AOL account name to send the pics to,
and I can convert them first to BMP, then to whatever format you want want
and send them back, or you can just do the easier route and get the plugin
and do screen-captures.
