Every now and then a discussion pops up about whether the screen DPI is 72
or 96. Can someone please tell me what relevance this has to web graphics? I
mean, a pixel is a pixel is a pixel, and surely DPI on screen should really
be called PPI (pixels per inch), which varies depending on what resolution
and screen size you run.
I thought DPI was only applicable to scanning, printing, and the like. What
relevance does it have to graphics *on screen*, and more particularly *in a
web page*?
