Damn good idea.

It is always handy to be able to download FAQ's
and browse them when you need quick answers on
something that is outside your own area of experience
or expertise. I frequently refer to various scraps of
paper from various sources, and I learn plenty from
this list. The trouble is I learn something new and
interesting today, and don't have an immediate use for it.
Then in three months time I need to do something that
involves todays lesson, whoops forgot how to do it.
Grab the FAQ and hey presto there it is!

Perhaps a text version for downloading would be easiest
to get started, and if it successful a html'ised job
for online use?

Peter.

since I noticed during the last month or so that the same questions keep coming up again
and again, I would like to suggest something like a FAQ, where all those basic questions
are being answered. I'm not sure about the Guild policy regarding suggesting
certain applications, but since those things are being discussed on this list, I don't see
what should be wrong with setting up a kind of summary with the most common
applications for graphics/web design, and maybe sending each newcomer this FAQ
when he or she joins the list. I don't know what you other members here on the list
think, but today it came to my mind that this would probably be helpful.
