Microsoft Office (word/word art/etc) and Photoshop are both happy to print fonts at larger than 72 (I haven't used the other two programs)... is the quality bad or are you having trouble changing the actual font-size? If the problem is in print quality, it may be in your printer and printer set-up rather than in the program software. I occasionally set my hp Laserjet 6 down to enhanced rather than postscript if I want to do something strange that looks ok when camera-ready isn't necessary. If it's changing the font size that's a problem, ignore the numbers ms word provides and just type whatever size you want into the box... or am I just misunderstanding the question? :)
