Hi Lonna. Are you using a PC? In that case there is a program that can show you all possible characters in any font that you have installed. From the START-button choose Run and write CHARMAP in the box. Here you can choose a character and in the lower right corner you see the key sequence that you need to press to get the character. If it says ALT+0246 it means that you should hold the ALT-key write 0 2 4 6 on the numeric keypad, then release the ALT-key. A small list of character o with dots - 0246 (small) or 0214 (caps) (Sweden, Finland, Germany) a with dots - 0228 (small) or 0196 (caps) (Sweden, Finland, Germany) a with ring - 0229 (small) or 0197 (caps) (Sweden, Norway) ae - 0230 (small) or 0198 (caps) (Norway, Denmark) o with slash - 0248 (small) or 0216 (caps) (Norway, Denmark) c with hook - 0231 (small) or 0199 (caps) (French) n with tilde - 0241 (small) or 0209 (caps) (Spanish) Other possiblities: Have you a key with the double dots on? In that case press that key first, then press the o key and you have the character you wanted. The same goes for tilde(~) or caret (^) key. And also accents. Hope this helps.
