Does anyone else see the effect Carol is seeing on a MAC?  I don't see how
the page could be causing any cross-browser issues the way it is done to
this point, but would like to know if it is.

I would suggest not placing buttons in that section at all.

You possibly could just impose some complinentary text in that area and then
create an image map for the links.  Or, you could "cut up" the graphic,
impose text for the links in two different color sets for mouseovers then
create mouseovers with the text just changing colors.

Another option is to use that panel as a background and impose links over
the graphic using cascading style sheets (A:link, A:visited, A:hover)to have
the text change color in the mouseover.  Of course using the css would mean
that you would be limited in your font choices as you would want to select a
series of universal fonts because you cannot be assured that the user will
have an unusual font on their system.

I also like Carol's suggestion about the cube effect.  However, I think
there may be some cross-browser issues, as I am on a PC and I do not see the
site as Carol is describing, and I believe she uses a MAC.

Is this area in flux? First a title graphic appeared, text with
sculptured letters. Then three identical graphics appeared to the left.
They covered the original title up to the "H". Did it say "Triple H"?
Each of the left vertical graphics has three Hs arranged as the front
faces of a cube.

I can understand the first response you got about transparently bringing
out the background. The theme so far is teal blue bas relief. A cube
shaped button, how about real 3D? Maybe turns different directions on
rollover and click.
