Saving gifs with minimum color count in PSP4?

Is there a way to save gif images in Paint Shop Pro 4.14 with the 
minimum color count?   I know that when you create your own gifs from 
scratch it automatically does it.  But say I want to take a pre existing 
gif made by someone else and reduce the color count...is there a way to 
do it in psp?  I tried the decrease color option with terrible results.

I currently end up going to gif wizard's site to do all my post 
production reductions.
