Hi Anne,

It is hard to recommend a tutorial when you didn't specify which 
version of Paint Shop Pro you are using. Last winter Jasc released 
version 5 which totally changed the face of PSP. If you don't 
already have a version I would strongly endorse version 5 as the 
addition of layers, bezier curve, anti-aliasing on selections and 
lines, multi-level undo, a gif animation program etc. etc. etc. made 
all past versions appear obsolete. PSP 5 comes with a great 
manual from the manufacturer that should get you started (tho I 
think you only get it if you buy it in the box as opposed to 
downloading it).

I dug into my bookmarks and pulled out a few tutorial sites that 
may be helpful (some are for V. 4, some for V. 5 and some for both 
I think). Since I believe one of the best ways to learn is by doing 
you might consider trying out some of the "recipes" (step by step 
instructions) for achieving various graphic effects that appear on 
these sites. As you witness the various tools in action you'll be 
better able to apply them to your own needs. Anyway, here are a
