I would recommend Micrografx Simply 3D. It does 3-D animation in frames and
exports as a nicely compressed Animated GIF. There may be an evaluation
copy at www.micrografx.com but don't hold me to it.

I am looking for some not-so-complicated 3-D animation software. I have
created animated gif's before, by hand, using Ulead's Gif Animator, but I'm
looking for a tool that I can use to define an object and add animation
features like rotation, etc to those objects.  Example, designing a coin
and then adding a spin animation to it.  

What are people's recommendations?
