M$IE has done its own thing again... so the standards have nothing to do
with it, either... and they eschew popular graphics formats and require a
Windows-specific file format... and as usual, depending on which page of
Microsoft documentation you pick, you'll find differing advice. Deja Vu,
all over again, I guess.

Personally, I would consider the behavior of M$IE to be highly unethical as
a violation of user privacy... the violation of privacy being the effect of
notifying Web sites when they are being book marked, doing so without
either prior consent, and having no way to turn off this mechanism. That
they do so is on shaky ground, and without notice is unethical.

Someone has set up a site and collected information about the issue. You
