distorting a graphic (perspective)

HI all

Is there a way, using PS5, to distort a graphic so that it looks like it is
receding into the distance?  I have a colour bar, 50wide by 300 high and I
want to distort it so that it looks like the left hand side is closer and
the right side is further away.  The result should look like the two
horizontal edges arent parallel, but run on an angle inwards - similar to
what a train track looks like.  Does this make sense?  I am not sure how to
explain it better than that.  I have access to Photoshop5 and Illustrator -
any advice on creating this effect would be appreciated!
