Animated gif

Hi Group!

When making an animated gif, do you have to have special software to
assemble all of the frames into the file? I have PSP 4.0, Image Composer
1.0, Gif Animator (shareware), and Corel Draw 4 (I know, it's OLD!) Or, is
there any freeware out there?
