Confusing SUBJECT, eh?

Well, now that you are here, you're ready for a question:

I created an image in Photoshop 4 and I opened it in Illustrator 7 to do
the type work (because I can't create type on a curved path in PS 4)

I created an image in Photoshop with a logo and a cut out photo. I, then,
created the text around it in Illustrator 7. BUT, when I save it and try to
open it in PS 4, the image is scaled absolutely huge.

I have tried to change the settings in Illustrator so that when I save it
in Illus. 7 I can open it in PS 4 and it will be the same size that I
wanted-- the original size that I had it in Photoshop 4. This doesn't happen.

How does one keep consistent image sizes when going from Photoshop 4 to
Illustrator 7 and then back to Photoshop 4?

Do I have to sell my soul?

b.
