I am not sure I follow your story but the usual reasons for not being able to
access a page are:
Wrong path
Wrong spelling
Wrong use of upper/lower case
File not where you think it is

If you are using an editor like Dreamweaver or BBEdit (Mac only program), let
the editor place the link rather than hand coding. It will give the right
path and name, if you make sure it is a relative link (one that is within
your file structure), not absolute (one that is NOT within your file
structure like to another Web site or your hard drive).

<< Hi list,

I have really a questions on links. I have dug a hole for myself by
nesting folders. I can get in but not out.

I have a folder named "cem_listing2" [alphabetical A,B,C,D, type]
<A HREF="cem_listing2.html">Cemetery Index </A>

so I select "E" and this takes me to a folder called "cemlist' where I
can select the from a list of people whose name start with E.

<TD ALIGN=center><STRONG><A HREF="cemlist/e.html">E</A></STRONG></TD>

Within this folder, I can select a personal page for Mrs Elabach from
the folder "page"

<A HREF="page/mrselabach.html"> Elabach, Mrs Elvin</A>

If you have followed me this far, I am at the bottom of the pit. I want
to go back to the top "cem_listing2"

I put <A HREF="cem_listing2.html"> RETURN</A> but it does not work.
I get a "page not displayed" notice.

I do not have all this section online as yet for you to see. Can anyone
tell me what I am doing wrong?
