Hello!

In my opinion you can't compare these two products. That's because one is
freeware and the other one is commercial (Photoshop). GIMP and Photoshop
have very similar features, but altogether the Photoshop is better, if
you can't decide between Linux and Windows platform. That's also because
under Windows you have many other graphic programs which can help you with
your  work. But if you are going to use just Linux (and I prefer Linux),
then you can't pass GIMP, because it's the ultimate tool for graphics
under Linux.
