Hello,

I recently started using Paint Shop Pro 4.1* and I am quite happy with
it. I downloaded some free plugins (actually for PhotoShop) from the
'Net and installed for PSP. It was supposed to be a simple operation
(going by the little help available in the PSP help itself on the
topic).

Well, they are not working! PSP is not able to load them. I am not
getting any errors for debugging the damned problem!

Here is what I did (so that you can point out where I went wrong):

1. unzipped all the plugins in a folder called "My plugins"
     I got .8BF files and .ASF files. I checked the properties of these 
     files (from Win95) and it reported them to be Photoshop plugins 
     (most of them were reported to be version 3.0, seemingly, of 
     Photoshop).
2. I went to General preferences and enabled plugins and pointed it to 
   my new folder.
     Well, PSP was supposed add a menu item "Plugins" (or something) in 
     the "Image" main menu, wasn't it? Well, It didn't.
3. I tried by reducing the no. of plugins to two or three, and tried 
   again. Failure!!
4. I disabled, and again enabled the plugins option in the general 
   preferences, and *immediately* opened the Image menu (to catch PSP in

   between the loading). It showed a menu entry [loading plugins]. I 
   left it there. After a while I checked again. Nothing was there.
5. Next time, I tried the same 'trick' and this time selected that last,

   seemingly temperory menu [loading plugins]. PSP reported "Not enough 
   memory. Try later".
   Frustrating! 'Cause I have 48MB of RAM, and I verified that at least 
   70% was free before I tried all this!
6. I closed PSP. Started again. No plugins to be seen.
7. I smoked a lot of cigarettes and tried all over again (just in 
   case!! You never know!). You guessed it right, no success.
8. I had a cup of coffee, and again repeated the above damn process with

   some variants. No good!

So, here I am! Asking for your help! 
Please help!!!!
