The transparent part of a Gif89a transparent gif isn't the same as PS4's
'transparency.' What you need to do is open the Trans. gif and select only
the non-transparent part. You should be able to do this w/ the magic wand
tool or Color Range Selection (Select>ColorRange). Once you have selected
it, copy it into the clipboard. Paste.

However, this may leave you with rough edges. This is why I always like to
save everything as a .PSD and then output it to my file format so if I
ever want to go back and redo an image, or use it in another work, I can
have it perserved perfectly.
