Hi Rob,

sorry i thought I had posted the answer to this one.

In your root element put the following

<gutbook xmlns:html="http://www.hwg.org/1999/xhtml-strict">

Then to show an image put

<html:img alt="mygif" src="mygif.gif" />

Comment out the DOCTYPE declaration though because you can't (at present)
validate a namespaced element.

This should (does!!) work on IE5, and from reports also on Netscape 6,
although I havn't tried it myself yet.
