xml markup of _dubliners_

hello.
i am in the process of marking up _dubliners_ by james joyce 
into xml.  this is my first xml markup, and if all goes well, i 
plan on contributing more.
firstly, _dubliners_ is a combination of short stories.  how 
should i mark them?  for compatibility reasons, i so far have 
them separated into <chapter>'s.
secondly, how much communication is there between project 
gutenburg itself and the hwg gutenburg.
