WEB SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Repeat)

Starting salary: $2,916 to $3,333 per month, dependent upon qualifications
This is a full-time, 12-months per year, benefits-eligible, exempt position
reporting to the Group Leader for User Support

Primary purpose: Provide user, operational and technical support necessary
to maintain and advance the Web in a networked environment of academic and
administrative users.

Essential functions include: Coordinate departmental creation and
maintenance of Web pages; Provide user support for Web page development and
maintenance software, including answering questions, troubleshooting
problems, developing documentation and conducting workshops; Develop,
document and maintain style guides and templates for standard Web pages;
develop and maintain designated institutional Web pages; Meet and consult
with faculty and staff regarding their Web computing needs; May recommend
hardware or software to meet those needs; Arrange and coordinate the
evaluation of Web related software; Construct and administer surveys and
other instruments to assess Web functions; Liaison for out-sourced Web page
development; Support overall integration of the Web into campus computing
activities; Maintain record, prepare and present reports.

Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
plus two or more years of relevant computing experience; Previous Web page
development experience; Must have technical computing skills and ability to
identify, understand and apply technological advances as they emerge,
superior oral and written communication skills, and ability to successfully
interact with various collegiate constituencies both with limited and
advanced computing knowledge.
