applications and electronic communications platforms and tools

Preparing communications for varying skill levels of end users

Coordinating and leading working groups or committees

Public television experience preferred=20

Education/Training=20
Bachelor=92s Degree in Communications or MIS=20
Master=92s Degree or other post-graduate industry training desirable

Technical/ Skills=20
Excellent PC skills and proficiency with the Windows 95 operating system=20
Proficiency with the Internet, World Wide Web, HTML, and Adobe Acrobat=20

Principal Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations and development of PBS Inline (50%)=20
Serve as senior content and quality assurance manager for PBS's affiliate=20
Intranet=20
Identify, recommend and oversee implementation of structural and design=20
improvements to the site=20
Develop and implement standards for web publishers=20
Test new applications and review related industry sites=20
Serve as liaison with staff content producers to identify and prepare=20
content for Inline=20
Coordinate with Information Technology about technical maintenance=20

Work with Information Technology to identify Web publishers=92 hardware,=20
software and training needs=20
Work with Director to develop the ongoing direction of the Inline team=20
Oversee development of PBS Inline database

Manage the day-to-day operations and development of PBS Express (30%)=20
Work with stations and PBS staff to effect tri-annual changes to the=20
desktop conference structure=20
Develop communications and resources to staff and the system about PBS=20
Express, to help make Express more=20
accessible to end users=20
Serve as primary contact for station and PBS staff inquiries about content=

and structure=20
Partner with Information Technology to identify, resolve and communicate=20
technical problems=20
Manage the applicants=92 authorization and access process=20
Maintain PBS Express Database=20
Work with content producers to prepare their materials for FirstClass=AE

Assist Director with new and ongoing projects and initiatives (20%)=20
Keep Director apprised of services=92 issues and developments=20
Market services to staff and system end users=20
Conduct demos and otherwise support and represent Express and Inline at=20
internal, regional and industry meetings=20
and conferences, and at individual stations=20
Analyze user trends; identify and develop communications, training=20
resources and support systems=20
Partner with PBS Research to develop user surveys; report and analyze=20
their results=20
Oversee development of multimedia training efforts=20
Produce teleconferences & prepare presentation graphics=20
Stay apprised of Electronic Graphics Service progress
