JOB TITLE: HTML Engineer
ABOUT THE COMPANY: PurpleTie.com is a well-funded young ecommerce startup
that's poised for spectacular growth. It's founder, Payam Zamani, having
created autoweb.com and taking it through it's IPO, has the experience
necessary to make this startup another success. We intend to do with Dry
Cleaning what WebVan did for groceries - offer top-quality service with
pickup and delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be part of the team responsible for the design,
implementation, and deployment of our state of the art, dynamic web site.
This includes the development of various prototypes and optimization of the
prototypes based on user testing leading to the final rollout of the site.
REQUIREMENTS: At least two years commercial HTML / JavaScript programming
at the code level. Good understating of layout design and use of colors.
Deep understanding of programming for different browsers. Understanding of
code and graphics optimization. DESIRED: Graphic design skills, ColdFusion
or other scripting languages
All candidates must be available to work in the US without corporate
sponsorship. Since we are looking to interview and fill the position
immediately, all candidates must be already located in the SF Bay Area /
East Bay.
JOB TITLE: Graphic Artist
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be an integral part of the team responsible for
the design of our state of the art, dynamic web site. You will be
responsible the user interface, colors, layouts, and the graphics in an
environment that encourages creativity. Additionally you'll be responsible
for the design of corporate printed material.
REQUIREMENTS: At least two years commercial graphic design experience in
web environment and two years experience in print work. Good understating of
user interface, layout design, and colors. Deep understanding of graphics
optimization for fast downloads. DESIRED: HTML programming, familiarity with
JavaScript, ColdFusion or other scripting languages. Degree in Graphics Art.
All candidates must be available to work in the US without corporate

JOB TITLE: Producer
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Producer is responsible for managing the
implementation of dynamic, online, consumer-oriented content from initial
strategy to launching and maintaining our website. This person will work
closely with various departments to translate their requirements into
dynamic web page content. The candidate will manage and track all aspects of
content development and report progress to management. This position will
include strategizing the way content is marketed and providing creative
direction towards the final refinement for web production.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- 1+ years experience as a Producer or Associate Producer
- Experience developing for multiple browser environments
- 2 years code-level HTML experience, including dynamic
- Extensive experience with JavaScript
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
DESIRED:
- Creating and editing graphics
- Familiar with or working knowledge ColdFusion, Perl

JOB TITLE: Senior Visual Designer
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Visual Designer creates the visual design direction
for the entire website and associated projects. Ensures an efficient and
intuitive design to maximize our attractiveness and retention of users.
Work with Product Managers, Producers and other teams to develop products.
Participate in user studies to transform feedback into future versions of
the website.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: A minimum of two years of web design experience with hands on
experience using using graphical tools (PhotoShop, Debabelizer, etc). Expert
understanding of capabilities of browsers and design constraints on the Web.
Expert in graphic optimization and site performance. Some hands-on HTML
development experience. 2+ years designing for printed material such as
brochures, packaging, etc. Good-humored, open-minded, flexible
entrepreneurial and energetic team member. Committed to good products and
team experiences.
