Title: Web Administrator and UI designer 

Location: Alameda, CA (in the East Bay, close to Oakland and Berkely and 25 
minutes from San Francisco)

Job Description: We are looking for a creative and technical candidate to 
develop our Web site and assist in developing the user interface for our Web 
based marketplace platform. 

Specific responsibilities include: 
Designing, coding and administering the Tradiant web site. 
Responsible for the structure and UI of the entire Web site. 
Assist engineering in developing the UI of the Web based marketplace platform. 
Responsible for coordinating content from various organizations within the
company and publishing it.

Requirements: 
3+ years of web development 
Bachelors in the design arts along with technical skills or a bachelors in 
engineering/CS along with design skills. 
Expertise in HTML 3.2, HTML 4.0, Javascript, CSS, DHTML, CGI, 
Ability to design and code a browser independent professional Web site. 
Expertise in graphic design and user interface design 
Good communication skills. 
At ease with Windows and Unix platforms. 
Proficient with Photoshop, QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Illustrator, DreamWeaver 
etc. 
Thorough understanding of Web servers and Internet protocols. 
Programming skills required for the maintenance of the Web site. 

Experience with any of the following is a plus: 
Developing and maintaining a mission critical commerce site 
Web-based hosted applications 
Java, JSP, Servlets 
Relational databases 
Knowledge of XML, XSL etc
