Looking for a Chief Systems Architect to become a part of our client=92s
management team and to provide technical leadership. Located in Phoenix,
Arizona using the latest technology and advances in Internet search
methodologies coupled with surgical execution to position ourselves as a
leader in digital rights protection.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly experienced
technology development and deployment manager, with deep understanding
of search engine technologies, and the heart and soul to work in an
aggressive and changing start-up environment. He/she will have served as
a senior operations manager in a technology development organization
involved in the latest technologies and services.

Responsibilities:
=B7 Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Technology Officer
will have the following primary areas of responsibility:
=B7 Assume primary responsibility for the direction and operations of
effective use of computer and communications technology.
=B7 Insure, through effective project management, that all development
projects are completed on time and within budget.
=B7 Provide industry/application expertise in the design, development,
deployment, and operation of company=92s search engines and consulting
business.
=B7 Responsibilities encompass both development and production
environments.
=B7 Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, support, and
on-going operation of the site and its related capabilities.
=B7 Assume responsibility for the leadership of all research & development
efforts.
=B7 Provide technical expertise in the selection of the development and
deployment platform(s) for their encoding and consulting business.
=B7 Hire, train, direct, motivate and manage a world class team of
developers, operators and customer support people.
=B7 Define appropriate business practices to provide first-rate customer
support capabilities, and establish these practices in the daily
operation of the business.
=B7 Manage relationships with partners on projects.
=B7 Serve cooperatively and aggressively as one of the top executives in
the organization, providing technology and business leadership in all
aspects of the business.

Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position must have the experience:
=B7 Have a MS in Computer Science, or other related field.
=B7 Have served in a senior technology leadership role for a company
involved in search engine technologies and the Internet for at least two
years.
=B7 Proven track record in planning, budgeting, developing and
implementing, recruiting, and managing successful technology plans and
teams.
=B7 Senior management experience in either a technology company or a
start-up environment.
=B7 Extensive experience in leading cross functional teams, implementing,
systems integration, testing, back end systems, and data architecture.
=B7 Extensive experience in growing a technical department and
infrastructure that supports high volume information, and multi-terabyte
size databases.
=B7 Extensive experience in networking, database, and Internet
infrastructure.
=B7 Be an effective negotiator with technical vendors and service
providers.
=B7 Be an excellent communicator, both written and oral.
=B7 Have solid software design and development experience with complex
database and multi-tier application architecture design.
=B7 Experience as a software engineer with languages such as Java and C++
=B7 Clear understanding of object oriented programming (OOP)
methodologies.
=B7 Experience with Unix, NT, and mixed environments.
=B7 Have the breadth of technology experience to necessary to be able to
act as a systems architect and systems integrator.
=B7 Strong experience with digital images, including but not limited to:
signal processing, steganography, data hiding, file formats and
compression technologies.
=B7 Have a vision of (1) where the industry is going, and (2) where he/she
would direct the company to go..
=B7 Have a personal sense of where the industry will go because of his/her
influence.
=B7 Having contacts in the computer science, publish or legal industry
would be valuable.
