Formed in 1998, Xpede is a venture funded Internet Company bringing the
convenience of the Internet to Fortune 500 lending institutions nationwide.
Its founders include mortgage banking visionaries and veteran entrepreneurs
from the information technology industry. Xpede has developed an innovative
software framework to completely manage the mortgage process from
application to closing on the web. Based on the process they wish to
automate over the web, financial institutions can utilize the appropriate
Xpede application. The Company hosts and manages these applications on a
private label basis on behalf of the customer. All applications are
customized for the institution's specific look and feel.

Freelance Web Designer
Duties:
The Web Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing web
design for our clients and in-house projects. This person will work closely
with Programmers and Production Artists to implement designs into action,
producing and optimizing graphics for the web. This person should feel
comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, which often requires
the ability to accommodate new priorities and special projects. Often, the
Web Designer will collaborate with different departments on content and
function of the sites.

The position of Web Designer reports directly to the Studio Manager or as
the Company may designate.

Background and Expertise Required
* Degree in design/fine arts preferred.
* Must have 4+ years of web design experience.
* Possess strong graphic design skills.
* Must be fluent with Photoshop and other primary tools such as, Image
Ready, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver.
* Should have an understanding of HTML and be familiar with its
restrictions and limitations.
* Must have strong communication, organization and presentation
skills.
* Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with different
departments.
* Must have the ability to take on a project, manage it effectively,
and complete it in a timely manner.
* Start-up experience in a high tech company is also helpful.
