Development Database Administrator - Hard Dollar Corporation

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product Development, the 
Development Database Administrator will be responsible for the set up, 
management, maintenance and coordination of all databases related to the 
Product Development organization.  The applications being developed are to 
be used externally on the Harddollar.com website, which is a 
business-to-business, e-commerce portal and application host for the 
infrastructure construction community.



Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Full-function Oracle Database Administration, responsible for logical and 
physical design, installation, database creation, maintenance, 
backup/recovery and performance

* Work closely with web application developers and content providers (both 
internal and external)

* Document database structures

* Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy


Experience/Qualifications:

* 2+ years experience as a database administrator

* Extensive experience with Oracle 8i on Solaris systems

* Experience with other RDBMS platforms a plus

* Experience within the web and client/server arenas

* Experience in custom product development environment

* Bachelors degree or equivalent in CS, MIS or related subject
