Technical Architect(Web-based Solutions)

Straube Associates has been retained by our client, a web technology
company, to recruit a Technical Architect. The client is located in the
Boston area and currently employs forty + people and will be doubling their
size by the end of the year.

The Company
Our client is a well-established international leader in providing complete,
integrated Web solutions. Their expertise is seasoned by real-world
success, providing services to some of the worlds leading international
companies. Our client is poised for expansion this year to accommodate
increased revenue.

The Position
Reporting to the CTO and Founder, the Technical Architect will be
responsible for the overall architecture of clients' web-based systems.
The Technical Architect will analyze and create the infrastructure plan for
fortune 1,000+ company's web-based business solutions. Working as a
technical leader for this well established, fast-growth, internet consulting
company, you will have the challenges and rewards of working with
high-profile businesses in a variety of industries.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years experience in Systems
Integration, completing at least one web based system. Must be creative and
have competency in defining technical requirements from a system level down
to a code level. Must have built at least two tiers of a web-based system.
A working knowledge of C++, Java, ASP, HTML, and SQL, as well as a working
knowledge of web browser, web server, application server and database tiers
is also necessary. The candidate should also possess skills in design (at
least either UML or database schema, following OOAD techniques), platform
(both NT and Unix), N-tier architecture using middle tier technologies such
as CORBA/SCOM and application servers, as well as packaged solutions
expertise is highly desirable.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Advanced degree a plus.

Salary/Benefits
The compensation package consists of a very competitive salary commensurate
with the level of experience and qualifications + stock options with this
pre-IPO company + a 401K.
