F/TIME: Technical Coordinator - San Francisco Bay Area

HyperGold is a small web design and development firm, located just south
of the San Francisco city limits in Daly City, CA. The firm was started
in 1995, and is expanding its workforce.

We currently have a job opening for a well-rounded "techie" who
understands and can write and troubleshoot HTML, understands databases
and their integration into web sites, and has a general working
knowledge of PC networks and PC hardware. While we do not expect any one
candidate to have mastered all of these areas of knowledge, a thorough
knowledge of HTML and at least a working knowledge of web-related
database integration and PC hardware are required for the position, as
is a willingness to learn other tasks and disciplines as outlined below.
NOTE: The successful candidate for this position must live in (or be
willing to relocate at his/her own expense to) the immediate San
Francisco Bay Area. (Sorry, telecommuting or other remote working
arrangements are not appropriate for this position).

Specific duties include:

Assist primary client project coordinator with database integration
Using the Art/Design Director=92s designs, build parts of Web sites
Debug HTML
Write scripts and/or research ready made scripts for company use
Research software for use in conjunction with client Web sites
Research software and hardware for company network
Meet with clients along with management
Research emerging Web technology and report to management
Track and coordinate company network software upgrades
Work with suppliers=92 tech support
Maintain office telephone system
Run errands
Answer phones as needed
Other tasks as directed by company management

Reports to President or CEO

Hours =AD 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 30 minutes for lunch

Days =AD Monday through Friday

Requirements:

Able to read/write HTML and one other language (e.g. javascript, Perl,
Visual Basic), a working knowledge of ODBC-compliant database technology
(MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic and/or SQL) and PC hardware, good
communications skills, and ability to multi-task.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $30,000 (or more, depending on experience and skills)
