Web Design Manager, Uniondale, NY (Long Island)

Salary: 70-80k

Job Description
In this key role, you will be responsible for all design functions and will 
manage web designers. Under your leadership, your team will work with our 
product strategy specialists and software developers to create web-based 
products for human resources (HR) applications. In the HR industry, our 
products are highly regarded for their superb graphic interfaces. Used by 
over 2,000 companies and 500,000+ employees, they lead the market in 
adoption and innovation. Your team will gather user requirements, perform 
research and analysis, translate requirements to a visual prototype and 
work with software developers to integrate graphic components into software 
applications. You will be involved in architecting new graphic design 
delivery processes using state-of-the-art technologies. You will also 
collaborate with the firm's marketing group to create a wide variety of 
collateral materials in various media.

Job Requirements:
Experience should include:

5+ years design experience, at least two in a management capacity (leading 
design teams) and at least three in the interactive and web design medium
Highly developed ability to conceptualize, visualize and prototype solutions
Excellent time management, project and people management experience
Proven commitment to creativity, quality, customer service and teamwork
Effective interpersonal (written and verbal) communication and presentation 
skills required
Strong collaboration and consulting skills
Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
A broad understanding of the Internet and e-business services
A clear interest in working effectively in a fast-paced environment


Technical requirements include:

A bachelors degree in design or equivalent
Experience with web design, typography, identity design and information design
Proficiency with HTML and ASP
Experience with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, 
Quark XPress, etc.
Experience with the use of XML/XSLT
