Btw, another thing that helped our case was when we compared the cost's of
having a developer do marketing research compared to the costs of having a
marketing employee do marketing research.   Generally, developers make a LOT
more money than marketing personel.

This also helps in case things start going their way, once they start
getting those marketing smirks, blurt out "Yeah?  Well I make a LOT more
money than you do!"
