javascript form problem

Thanks Two-bits and everyone else for helping me with my last form question.
I've now nearly completed the form but would like to get rid of one little
quirk.

The quirk is this:-

When someone enters that he/she has lived at the install address for less
than 5 years, the "previous address" textarea should be activated.
This does ocur but when I select the how long at this address field again to
alter it to lets say 6 years it does not clear the current entry ready for
typing, which worked just fine before I changed the value.

Can anyone help?
