Hi, folks - -

Having read many replies, I'll agree that if Personal Oracle is being used
inappropriately, then that is enough to necessitate some sort of change.

And in general, use the lightest tool for the job if it is absolutely
adequate; though what is adequate today may not be tomorrow, and potential
inadequacy might mean look for a scalable approach now.

However, one thing is certainly being overlooked, and that is what is good
for Kathy Wargo as a developer?

Oracle on your resume is way more impressive than MS Access. It's no harder
to do web interface to Oracle than to Access, either. Take the opportunity
to use this tool that you are not familiar with, let your client pay you the
extra it takes because it is by client request that you use a software
package unfamiliar to you, and learn as much about Oracle as you can.

Let Oracle experience become another tool in your arsenal, feather in your
cap, and door-opener on your resume. It will take you places MS Access
doesn't even know exist.

Regards,
Michael Gerholdt
