OT: why do people post like that?

I see alot of people posting with subjects like

"h elp"

or 

"h*lp"

or any other of a dozen variations of the word "help".  Why not just say
"help?"  I assume that someone is afraid that their post will be filtered
out if the word "help" is in the subject line?   Is that the case?  If so,
then wouldnt it be safe to assume that those people filtering "help" dont
want to help so getting around the filter with "h_lp" wont do any good
anyhow?
