loading Perl modules in mid program

I have a multipage Perl/cgi consisting of a set of
subroutines. Some of those subs need certain modules
and others don't.

Is there a way to bring in a module only when you need
it rather than loading it at the top of the program?
In the interest of efficiency I'm thinking I'd like to
save the expense of _use_ing modules that I'm not
going to use.
