I suggest that you run your site through the W3C validator 
(http://validator.w3.org) and work your way through the errors there 
first, since there do seem to be an awful lot of them.

The meta tags on the site indicate that it was generated by FrontPage 
-- not a good way to do XHTML sites.  It seems to mis-nest tags and 
generate an awful lot of extra gumph, unfortunately.
